I was only on Substack for a short time, and I posted a full explanation of my decision to leave, over there, but if you don't follow me there, here is the gist:

I'm against generative AI, especially in the creative space, and Substack just rolled out Pangram on it's platform. I had planned to post sneak peek chapters of my upcoming books there, but I'm not going to willingly feed my work into these AI programs.

Real authors are having their careers and publishing deals destroyed by these "checker" programs which have been proven to be incredibly inaccurate. They are disproportionately targeting black authors (surprise-surprise) and I am simply luck to have written so much prior to gen-AI existing (even though it was unpublished), because now all those MSs are date-stamped. 

But what about my future work? What about the work of new authors who weren't writing prior?

AI is destroying creative spaces, stealing artwork, voices, styles, etc., and I refuse to be a part of it. I hope my readers know and can tell the difference between human authorship and the soulless junk churned out by unscrupulous "authors" who are too lazy to learn the craft and are just grifting for your hard-earned dollars.

I've deleted all my content from that platform.
